Northwoods Muskies Kick Off Surpasses Expectations
The Northwoods Chapter of Muskies Inc held its inaugural Kick Off & Fundraiser on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the Norwood Pines Super Club in Minocqua WI. The event featured multiple raffles, club logo merchandise sales, an introduction to what Northwoods Muskies is all about, and a Keynote Presentation by renowned local guide Rob Manthei.
There were 102 paid attendees at the event, with each person receiving a free Chapter Logo Sticker with their paid attendance. The event raised in excess of $4,000.00 for the Club, which will be converted into stocked muskies and walleye for area fisheries. The Club wants to send out thank you appreciation to all those who helped make this event such a success.
The club already has over 130 members as of its first member meeting. Although this is an outstanding beginning, volunteers are still needed to assist with the following:
- Technology
- Stocking
- Youth Programs
- Tournaments
- Outings & Events
- Membership
The next meeting will be held at Fibbers Resort on Big St Germain on May 14th at 6:00pm. Tom Gelb will be the Guest Speaker and will also conduct a book signing after the event; signing copies of his new book “Musky Strategies”.
