Muskies Inc Forms New Northwoods Chapter
Muskies Inc. announces that its newest chapter received approval at its December executive committee meeting. The Northwoods Chapter 61 will be supporting the strong mission, and traditional objectives of Muskies, Inc. “Headquarters”, such as:
The Promotion of High Quality Fisheries
Youth Programs & Activities
Funding and Support of Muskie Research
The Northwoods Chapter will also implement some unique components as well. It will be centered in Minocqua, WI, but will utilize a rotating monthly meeting schedule to serve a larger footprint. Meetings will be held in locals such as Tomahawk, Boulder Junction, Park Falls, Rhinelander and many more.
The new chapter membership will be open to muskie & walleye enthusiasts through out Northern Wisconsin and beyond. Although muskies will be our main focus, The Northwoods Chapter will be working with the DNR & local lake associations to introduce a new “Extended Growth” fish stocking program that includes both muskie & walleye stocking in area lakes.
Its Member Kick Off & Fundraiser Meeting will be held at 6:00pm on April 9,2013 at Norwood Pines Supper Club Hwy. 70 West Minocqua, WI. ALL are welcome to attend. In exchange for a $5.00 admission fee, each attendee will receive a chapter logo sticker. The event will host Rob Manthei as the keynote speaker.
